I am going to Italy tomorrow and have seen seen conflicting information from various sources about this. In Italy is it normal to make the order for antipasti, primi, secondi and contorni all at the same time (not to be eaten at the same time, just placing the order all at once)? Say I decided to have an antipasto, followed by a primo, followed by a secondo with a contorno, and would have dolce afterwards. I know that I would order the dolce after I had eaten everything else the same as I would in a restaurant at home, but is it normal to order the primo (and secondo) at the same time as you order the antipasto, or would you do it after you had eaten the antipasto? And then only order the secondo and contorno after eating the primo? Or does it not really make any difference either way? ~~~ Warren Wallace ~~~
