I currently have an 8 week old Chiuhua that I have had since she was 6 weeks. When I first got her she had no teeth but now they are coming in and she is a chewing monster. She has plenty of toys but she would much rather chew on my Jeans, Shoelaces, Shirt or my ears or fingers. She is only 1lb and a few ounces and I want to be sure not to hurt her but I need to teach her right from wrong before she thinks shes boss. All advise would be very helpfiull! My dog is fairly trained, he is just over a year old. Mom's dog is 9 months and not nearly as trained as mine. I will be moving out of province with both animals and will need to walk both dogs at once. Together both dogs are extremely excitable and love going for walks, mom's dog especially is very strong. I have attempted to walk both on separate leashes and ended up tangled and on the ground. Do the "Y" leashes work and are they strong enough for 2 large, strong male golden retrievers? ~~~ ersabette ~~~

We recently lost our 11 year old lab to brain cancer. We've since adopted a beautiful black lab from the SPCA. She's 3. We have 3 cats who were very close to our previous dog Sadie. Needless to say they were a little freaked when they saw Phoebe, our new one. We've got them separated by a baby gate hoping they'd get used to seeing each other. I think he's very territorial because he barks at everyone. He barks at people walking by the house, and relatives who come for dinner. He even barks at people on the sidewalk when he's in the car and he barks at people when we're on walks. I've had him sniff my relatives to try and make him relaxed around them but the quiet only lasts for about five seconds while he is sniffing them and then he continues to bark. I LOVE big dogs, but I have always had small- medium dogs because they do better running around the house and wear out easier on walks. However, I am realizing that my theory is not accurate as some smaller dogs, like say a beagle are just have crazy energy and some bigger dogs, like Newfoundland dogs are lazy.
