Best Answer To Aircraft Question

First of all, those "flight attendant schools" are a waste of time and money. The airlines do not look at those as valid training. Every airline already provides you with the training you need for free. Plus they pay for your room and board. Why on Earth anybody would want to pay for the school is beyond me. You need to have at least 2 years of verifiable customer service experience; be able to pass a 10 year background check; have a great personality; and your weight has to be proportionate to your height. In essence, you have to carry yourself in a VERY professional manner. You have to convince the airline that you are the very best of the best. Remember, you are competing with roughly 20,000 other people for just a handful of vacancies. Here's a few helpful tips for you: Don't apply for just 1 or 2 airlines, apply for all of them; Do research on the particular airlines such as how many employees do they have, when were they founded, stuff like that; In your interviews SMILE SMILE SMILE and ask questions. That is the number one reason that people don't get hired as FA's. And don't ever tell an interviewer that the reason why you want to become a flight attendant is because you like to travel. Your best bet right now is to try out for a regional airline. It is not a quick process, so don't get discouraged if you don't hear back from an airline for a few weeks. I hope this helps

Answer 1

5 C grade gcse's? and 2 A-levels?

Answer 2

I am not a flight attendant but I am in the industry and know a few. I also went to a school that trains them. First of all you might want to think about getting a little bit of college education such as an Associates degree. You will also need to go to a flight attendant training course. Customer service experience will be a great help. If possible learning a second language is another good way to help. I heard somewhere that flight attendants need to be able to swim 50 yards without assistance. I am not sure if that is true but learning how to swim might be good. On occasion airlines hold open houses for flight attendants, look on some job sites to try to find something like that when you are ready. I hope this was helpful.
