I have followed Australian netball and coached teenagers for many years and am still amazed at how poor the umpiring is at elite level!! I watched the recent series and was apalled at the fundamental errors the umpires made. I hate to admit it (because I am male), but I truly believe that men cannot umpire netball at the elite level. The two umpires I have recently witnessed, and those in the past, have been incredible inadequate!! It is paramount that they are up with this game, especially when dealling with a team like New Zealand who rely on physicality rather than the skillful play we engender in Australian netball. ~~~ jackson ~~~

Yeah, I am. Especially with Tim Donaghy, a referee at the most elite level there is, the NBA, getting busted for fixing games with the mob. All the refereeing the NBA has done downhill. Theres been a lot of shady calls, even in the playoffs.
