Basketball : Who Is The Greatest Team Never To Win An Nba Championship
I personally think it was the a 02 Sacramento Kings, they had the depth, the talent, the crowd to back them up but questionable calls, poor free throw shooting, late injuries and Robert Horry cost the purple and black their ring... Plz leave comments on who you think is the greatest team to NOT win it all. ~~~ J. Hicks ~~~

Answer 2
Dallas Mavericks.. they had everything, but the Warriors, which is their Achilles Heel, stoo in their way. Go MAVS!!!
Answer 3
Id say the two Utah Jazz teams with Malone, Stockton, Hornacek, Russell, and Ostertag. They just ran into a buzzsaw two years in a row named Michael Jordan. They won 55 games the first year they lost the championship and 64 the second year!!
Answer 4
Yeah, I agree with you on the Sacramento Kings. The playoff game between them and the Lakers was the obvious NBA finals matchup as both teams went toe to toe until the final seconds determined their fate. Some honorable mention goes out to the: 1996-1998 Utah Jazz (with Stockton and Malone) 1992-93 Phoenix Suns (with Barkley and Kevin Johnson) 1989-92 Portland Trail Blazers (with Drexler and Company)
Answer 5
93 Phoenix Suns
Answer 6
phoenix suns
Answer 7
How abut the Utah Jazz (97-98)? They had one of the best combos ever (Malone and Stockton), the bench, and experience, and then theres Michael Jordan and the rest was history.
Answer 8
probably the 1984-85 Celtics. They were essentially the same team that won in 84 and 86 (the 86 team is probably the best ever) and went 63-19 and 11-4 in the playoffs before losing to the Lakers in 6. Or did you mean from a franchise that has never won?
Answer 9
WHAT ABOUT THIS YEARS SUNS. MY OPINION IS IF DIAW AND AMARE WERE NOT SUSPENDED FOR GAME 5 WITH THE SPURS, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN WATCHING THEM WINNING IT ALL RIGHT NOW.
Answer 10
Im going to agree with the Utah Jazz. They made it to the finals two years in a row. Played the Bulls two years in a row and lost to the Bulls two years in a row. To make it to the playoffs two years in a row is hard for some teams. To make it to the NBA finals twice in a row is very difficult. To lose twice in a row has to be heartbreaking, especially for Karl Malone who choked at the line after Scottie Pippen said "the mailman doesnt deliver on ;
Answer 11
93 Suns 98 Jazz and duh Patrick Ewings Knicks!!!
Answer 12
I would have to say the 1993-94 New York Knicks. They had everything that year; a dominant center (Ewing), a wing man that can get to the hoop (john starks), great coach (pat riley), they play tremendous defense, has depth/bench/supporting cast (charles smith, charles oakley, derek harper, doc rivers, anthony mason), great fans (the garden was wild). And most importantly... NO MICHAEL JEFFREY JORDAN that year. He played minor league baseball. They were up 3-2 in the finals against Hakeems Rockets. Two bad games from john starks caused them the finals: a last second 3-pt shot that was blocked on game 6 that could have won the game (86-84 HOU) and 2 for 18 from the field on game 7 (90-84HOU)
Answer 13
Phoenix
Answer 14
Dallas and PHX
Answer 15
I agree with "John L" about the 84-85 Celtics, and still to this day, cant believe they lost that series. They opened up by blowing out the Lakers 148-114, and then lost four of the next five games. Unbelievable! I would also have to say the 1972-73 Celtics, who had a 68-14 regular season record ( 2nd best in history at that time), and then were upset in the eastern conference finals by the Knicks.
