First buy you favorite breed of chicken that you can find, Buff Orpington hens are very good egg layers. If you want colorful eggs, you can get the easter egg chicken! You will need at least an acre or two of land (you dont have to have even an acre, but its nice if you want them to be free ranged.) You need a chicken coop, with ventilation, nests with fresh hay, roosts for them to sleep on, a feed box filled with cracked corn. You will need about three of those metal chicken waterers, keep them filled at all times so the chickens have lots of water. You will need to check for eggs twice a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening. You need to get about 30 hens, and three roosters.
