I have a house, barn and some land in France which I am trying to sell throught a friend who is an agent for the last year. I want to find a good agent to sell the property with out ripping me off as soon as possible. The house is in need of some renovations and so is not habitable. ~~~ jojo ~~~

Another way to locate a reliable agent is to contact some of the international corporations that have any offices or major facilities in the vicinity (if there are any). They have relocation programs for thier expatriate employees and use either local agents or people from major cities who are familiar with the area. Finally, you can communicate with the regional police prefecture for referrals to honest people. I do NOT suggest contacting either a chamber of commerce, city hall, or other municipal-type administrative office; these are often not very trustworthy.
