Buenos Aires : When Is The Cheapest And Best Time To Travel To Argentina
I am planning a trip to Buenos Aires in December of 2007. I plan to go toward the end of December into the early part of January. I've been searching for ticket prices but they are expensive! I was wondering if anyone knows of any good sites or dates to travel. Should I wait till it gets closer to December or should I keep my search going?? ~~~ Estefania ~~~
Best Answer To Buenos Aires Question
From where are you travelling? High season is December-February (summertime) and also July-August (ski season!) Depending where you catch the plane it could be quite expensive. Summertime is great in Argentina although it can be sticky and hot in Buenos Aires but it's great for Patagonia. I would do a big search in web sites like travelocity, expedia, orbitz and as a last instance check LanChile's web site as well as American Airlines, they sometimes have great offers. I would definetly recommend end of december, early january but please, dont just stay in Buenos Aires, go to Patagonia, especially Bariloche and Villa la Angostura and sail the lake Nahuel Huapi. The scenary is breathtaking.

Answer 10Since you are set on December, you will be paying the highest prices, due to season, weather (summer), and holi-days (Christmas and New Year) check the following for advise: /faq- and for tickets: / / /sites// Check so often until 60 days before departure! Then buy!
Answer 11It is summertime then, so kids are out of school and it will be peak travel time. All resorts and hotels outside Buenos Aires will be busy. Buenos Aires will still be expensive since that time is high season. I say April until early June. Avoid the mountains in mid June as it also gets busy and expensive since winter attracts skiers to the Andes. As far as airfare goes ticket prices have gone up drasticly to Argentina in the last 2-3 years. But part of it is due to fuel surcharge. This has already happened to most of the world especially to Europe and Asia from the US, but Argentina has just caught up.
