My dad cleaned carpets for a living and his best advice is to dilute the stain immediately with club soda. Wet the stain and press with a clean cloth over and over till it comes out. Since you already tried soap, this may not work. Its always best to dilute the stain first. Hydrogen peroxide works well on blood stains. Ive used it many times, and it doesnt bleach out the color of the fabric. Good Luck.
