Cooking Recipes : How Do I Fix My Beef Stew When Ive Put Too Much Pepper In It

I don't like pepper much, but I wanted a little bit. I used white pepper, and it's so fine too much came out too quickly. I don't have time to cook up another batch, so is there something I can put in it to neutralize the bite of the pepper?
None of these were useful because the butter idea came too late, and I didn't have any of the other ingredients. I ended up putting a piece of bread in the bowl before I served it up. It developed a rather ghastly texture, but tasted OK and neutralized the pepper pretty well.
So I'll put this to a vote.
