I tried a knife but I saw little lines it was making on the pot surface! Oh no, whew, that's not good. I need to get the egg residue off and it's really tough. I used butter first to cook by the way. How should I get it off? It's soaking in water now. ~~~ Roland 'The Gunslinger' ~~~

Put water in it with a little baking soda and put it on the stove on low heat. Let it simmer for a few minutes once it gets hot. It should come off very easily.

Answer 11I just gave this hint to another similar question. Dishwwasher detergent is a good thing for soaking pots and casseroles with food that is really cooked on. That stuff is really strong. I don't have a dishwasher but I do have the detergent on hand just for this purpose.
