I always enjoyed combinations that my chef instructors wouldnt get every class. Believe it or not, both cayenne and basil make a great addition to chocolate, and you can make a tasty creme easily with either as well. Other than that, you might think about rolling them in some candied citrus, grapefruit is especially yummy. Good luck!

i think you should put a little bit of coffee into them. Make some instant coffee, then mix teh liquid into the chocolate. you could also put lemon frosting in the middle with icing sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice. these are both simple ideas which should taste nice :) good luck xx

chocolate truffles Ingredients 100g (4oz) SuperCook White Belgian Chocolate 40ml (1½) double cream 15g (½oz) unsalted butter (2½ tsp) brandy 175g (6oz) SuperCook Plain Belgian Chocolate 30ml (2 tbsp) SuperCook Select Belgian Chocolate Vermicelli Method Break the White Belgian Chocolate into a heatproof bowl with the cream and butter and melt over a pan of barely simmering water. Remove from the water and mix in the brandy. Line a small mixing bowl with clear wrap and pour the chocolate mixture into it. Cool, then cover and chill for at least 2 hours until solid. Turn out the chilled chocolate mixture and discard the clear wrap. Divide into 16 pieces, and working quickly, shape each piece into a round using 2 teaspoons. Place on a tray lined with greaseproof paper and chill for 30 minutes to firm. Break the Plain Belgian Chocolate into a heatproof bowl and melt as above. Remove from the bowl and cool for 15 minutes. Gently toss one piece of the white chocolate filling in the melted chocolate to cover it completely. Place on a tray lined with greaseproof paper and sprinkle over some of the Belgian Chocolate Vermicelli. Repeat the coating process until all the truffles have been covered. Chill the truffles for about an hour to set, before serving. Makes: 16

I was thinking for your truffles you could add a small part of a peanutbutter cup ot a rolo for the center. Recipe below is delicious.... You may use peanut butter sandwich cookies to make them instead of the Oreos. OREO TRUFFLES 1 pkg. chocolate sandwich cookies, ground to a fine powder (a food processor works the best) 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, room temperature 1 (12 oz) pkg Ghirardelli chocolate chips (use whatever flavor you like...bittersweet works well) 1 (12 oz) pkg Ghirardelli white chocolate chips Mix the cookie powder and cream cheese together (by hand or with a mixer). Roll into small balls and place on wax paper lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate at least 45 minutes. Melt chocolate in separate bowls and dip balls to coat thoroughly, half in chocolate and half in white. Place on wax paper lined cookie sheet and drizzle with leftover chocolate. Store in refrigerator to set chocolate and keep any leftover truffles in the refrigerator.
