Personally I wouldnt. The slow cooker doesnt reach a high enough temperature to kill off any potential bacteria/bugs in the chicken.

obvcource!!... i do it all the time... if its one of those small ones that havnt been injected w/ hormones no prob... but if its pretty large u may want to cut in peices a bit but DEFINATLY not too small... it also depends on the size of the slow cooker... they taste GREAT to by the way.. GOOD LUCK!!!

You can probably put a small chicken in your slow cooker. But, Please, put some liquid in it. You can add a little water, or some broth to it. When I put ribs in my slow cooker, I season it and put some barbecue sauce in and turn it on and a few hours later they are falling off the bone. Try that with your chicken. How much? Try 1/4 cup or less. Hope that helps. cdejac

Yes. You can, I have done it. You do not have to add liquid, just scrunch up loads of tin foil. Cover the chicken with oil or butter (olive oil is best) and herbs and spices as you choose. Then bung it in and leave it. You could then pop it in a hot oven for about 20 mins to crisp the skin.

you dont have to submerge it but definitely put some liquid in the bottom to keep the meat moist..
