I like Italian foods and tomato sauces. I also like Cajun foods. I love anything with spice. Ive never ate a salad before, believe it or not. Ive always been too afraid to try them. However, Im now going to make myself eat healthier. Based on the types of food I like, what types of salad AND DRESSING do you think I should try? try a simple salad for a start, start off with some crunchy lettuce,and fried potatoe wedges (just in case you hate the lettuce! but it goes well, goes well, ends well*lol) your dressing should be a "thousand island dressing" very creamy and also goes well with the wedges!(also try it with the bread they put in ceasar salad) descripiton: the first time i tasted it, it started off as ordinary lettuce with a burst of flavor because of the dressing,then crucnchy again , because of the bread, then spicy (coz i love adding some tabasco!-mild green-or red spicy!) and then the "burger tasty thing in my mouth, its like i ate burger because of the yummy wedges, it goes well with lettuce,dressing,tabasco and toasted bread! -hope i helped!-

Go to a nearby Cracker Barrel, or somewhere where they sell "Oven Roasted Chicken Breast Salad" and try it with Italian dressing, or even just some lemons and a little vinegar/salt.

Making your own dressing is so much healthier, i make mines with vinegar, oil, lime juice and salt mix it together and pour it on ur salad. Cesar dressing is good but its not that healthy, italian dressing is good too and i guess a lil healthier than it depends on what u like and ur taste buds, but i would recommend making ur own.

Ive always had salads, but hated them until I started making them myself. I dont like boring salads... If you like Italian or Cajun dishes, this will be kind of easy. I think you would like a bed of romaine lettuce (iceberg just adds water weight...no vitamins/minerals) with tomatoes, onions, and a oil based dressing. The dressing will be based on the meat. I would suggest getting some boneless, skinless chicken breasts (they are the healthier choice) and cutting them into strips. For Italian taste...Saute in 1-2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan. I also add white cooking wine to mine and garlic, oregano, and basil for extra flavor. Here I would say mix your olive oil with a raspberry (mild amp; semi-sweet) or balsamic (stronger bold taste) vinegar. This will give you some extra flavor. For the cajun, grab your favorite Cajun spices and add to the chicken. Blackened chick would be awesome! I would suggest the olive oil with a cider (mild flavor) vinegar as you dont want to take a lot of flavor away from the cajun spices. You can make a salad very fun. Try other fresh veggies that you find that you like in your salads...make a wrap out of them for a sandwich! Put everything from the salad into the wrap...youll love it! Watch making more complicated dressings because they arent on the healtier side if youre adding a lot of fat or sugar. Just and oil and vinegar are just as nice.
