The PKK, or the Kurdistan Workers Party, has been fighting for Kurdish autonomy from Turkey since 1984. I mean, I can see groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas, which commit suicide bombings against innocent civilians, to be terrorist groups, but Ive never turned on the news and heard of the PKK committing a terrorist attack. Arent they fighting a guerrilla war against the Turkish Army? Do they target civilians too? ~~~ Samian Quazi ~~~

The PKK killing spree started on August 15, 1984 where 2 police officers were murdered (Eruh amp; Semdinli villages). In the ensuing years 17,179 attacks resulted in over 30 thousand murders. 3,489 soldiers, 180 police officers and 1,144 armed village guards were murdered. Among the 4276+ civilians massacred were 501 children, 512 women. yes they target civilians!
