Best Answer To Dancing Question

Becoming flexible comes with lots of patience and practice. I know youve probably been told this a million times, because i know i have, and it is very frustrating, but it doesnt come over night. if you stretch for twenty minutes everyday then you will get somewhere. It might not seem like it at first, but before you know it, you will have your splits! Hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds or you arent doing anything for yourself, if you dont have the time for fully stretching, just give yourself five minutes to quickly stretch out so you wont lose anything. The key is to stay persistent. You will be surprised how fast you can lose flexibility. You can look up yoga or dance books in a library, or bookstore. They can give you stretching ideas and poses that will really help. But also taking classes will help your flexibility because professional dancers or teachers know the types of stretches you help you personally. As for the curve in your foot, thats your arch and there isnt much to do to improve it. its how your body is built and everybody is different. however, you can do foot excersizes to increase flexibility of your foot and ankle. look it up on google and find some arch/anke strengthening and stretching excersizes. hope this helped :)

Answer 3

my friend Sasha whos also 13 just asked me this same question! Try to stretch out your legs before you practise the way you would if you were running a race.... then go down as far as you can into the splits and hold it there for a minute. Make sure you dont lean backwards or you could hurt yourself. Do this once or twice a day. Eventually it works. Also there might be some good stretchin videos available on youtube.... :)

Answer 5

the curve in your foot is called an arch. most likely, nothing can be done about your arch, or at least not much. however, you can improve your pointe by stretching your feet, making them look better. for flexibility, all you need to do is stretch a little all the time. dont stretch for a very long time but only once a day; stretch several times each day.

Answer 6

Okay, heres a list of stretches to do EVERY day....Pilates helps too though... 1-right and left splits 2-middle (or straddle) splits. 3-Butterfly. 4-stretch your foot (the curve is an arch) do this by having someone push down on your foot at the arch. = 0 _ 0 = Arisu

Answer 7

run more stretch b4 and after you dance run and then do a split keep on going even tho it hurts or go to theres a lot of practicing on that websites and take baths hot showers massage your lower stomach to release and relax your muscles
