I am taking dancing lessons and finding the first beat is something I am not able to do yet. Once the teacher starts us dancing I can usually maintain the beat depending on the music. Some specific songs if I lose the bet I cant find it again. ~~~ Steve ~~~

when you are first starting, I found it was easier to not worry about the counts and try to just sing the beat in your head.

Find the beat by making sure that you keep the right speed starting from the second you start counting. You shouldnt lose the beat in the middle of the song because you should never stop counting. If you do try to listen to the song closely and try to hear the beat and jump back on count.

it is not easy,it takes a lot of time and getting used took me a year,and i am not you dance you have to count in your head.
