I am attending a wedding this afternoon in a nearby town with my boyfriend. The ceremony begins at two thirty. At what time should we be at the church? What time is too early? ~~~ EmilyJay89 ~~~

Well, I went to a family wedding back in Jan, and 2 family members and I got there like, maybe 20 minutes before it actually started. But while we waited, we just sat in the pews with everyone and chatted a little, with the rest of the family.

I usually try and be there about 1/2 hr ahead of time. That way if something happens in traffic you have some leeway and if traffic is ok then you can just talk to other guests while you wait.

Be sure that the previous wedding is clear of the church or you may be swept along to a strangers reception!!!!!

15 minutes is probably enough. dont get there too early cause they could still be decorating or whatever, and they;ll like make you stand and wait outside, or if there may be something else going on in the church b4 their wedding, u know? so 15 min is prob good.

Depending on how far away you are from the church. Allow time for traffic if needed but I would show up at least 15-30 minutes before it is due to start.

make SURE you are there, regardless of traffic, one half hour ahead of time. there are two things you must never ever be late for, weddings and funerals. it is a point of honor and respect. if you feel you are there too early at one half hour before, wait in your car. but, be there. it is the socially correct and classy thing to do.
