Answer 6
I watched what I ate from when I got engaged, I was like a nut about 2/3 months before. With all of the craziness I lost almost 20 pounds (NOT on purpose) the 2 weeks before the wedding.
Answer 7
I started losing weight for my health before I met my fiance, fell off the wagon, and started again before we got engaged. Having the wedding in sight is an additional motivation, but it is not the reason I am trying to lose weight. I want to be healthy. I really dont care how much I lose before the wedding, I want to feel better. I joined Weight Watchers 18 months before the wedding as an extra boost and Ive got 10 months to go til the wedding.
Answer 8
Ive been eating healthily for the last 3 years, so while Ill probably lose some weight before the wedding since I am training for a half marathon the same month, I do not plan to change my diet to starve myself into my dress. In fact, since I bought my dress right after I completed my last half marathon, I ordered a size up in case I put weight back on. Wedding crash dieting is creepy.
Answer 9
four months :)
Answer 10
probably about thirty years ... have concluded that I only get skinny when I dont have a significant other. Been with present husband almost 2 years and gained half a stone, most of it before the wedding - he doesnt mind.
Answer 11
Personally, Im happy with my weight so I have no intentions of falling prey to the wedding industrys claims that you must lose weight or else your husband will leave you. Very unhealthy crash/fad diets are the only thing you could do in that time frame. If you are going to start losing weight to maintain a healthy lifestyle, that needs to be started well in advance, for example 6 months to a year. Also, discuss it with your doctor since they can help you figure out what is healthy and right for you.
