Family : How Do I Start In My Quest To Emancipate Myself
I'm 16 and want to emancipate myself. My story, or reasons, are longer than I wish they were... For the past year I've held a job at McDonalds and my mother has forced me to pay rent to her. I have made my share of mistakes in my life and I've screwed up a few times, not to mention the domestic dispute her and I had... Well today I quit my job due to being tired. I go to day school and night school and no longer wish to give my mother money to have her treat me like shit or to be treated like 'shit' at work. Well... I told my mother I plan on getting a new job and instead of giving her my entire paycheck the way I have the past 60 weeks, I will give her a portion. That's not acceptable to her... She's has begun to take items in which I was told I had 'purchased' by giving her my money over the past 60 weeks. Now she's even gone as far as threatening to kick me out... She's told me three times to leave. My online girlfriend is looking into whether or not her parents will take me.... ~~~ PhrozenDragon ~~~
Best Answer To Family Question
I believe there are three side to every story, yours, your mums and the truth. I find it hard to believe your mum is extreme as you say. If you move in with someone else are you going to get a job and pay board there they would expect it.

Answer 3Your mother birthed you and is raising you. You gotta lot of nerve telling her what you are going to do with the money you earn, when you are living with her. You are wanting to move in to a house and you don't even know the girl's parents? Respect your mother's wishes. Giving her rent is a good way to start being responsible.
