According to another question I asked about boys, most people said that they think boys become men around 18 or so. In an earlier question that I asked about girls, people said 30 was the age to start calling a girl a woman. Do you agree. What age is a girl considered a woman. Just comparing answers. Thanks. I think that about 18 is fine - I think that most of the other answers are quite offensive and rubbish. I know I hated being called a girl in my 20s.

I think a female passes through 3 names. first its girl, only until she starts having her period then shes considered a lady. and she becomes a woman around 40 and stays that way for the rest of her life. 40 is an age where a woman is not considered old and is matured enough to give good advice.

23. idk why, but it sounds better to say "22 year old girl" and "23 year old woman" interesting question though, i think its quite misgynistic in a way that guys are considered "men" at 18 (but can also be called boys too) whereas you very rarely hear an 18 year old girl being called a woman unless she is very mature for her age, ironic really as women mature faster emotionaly than men anyway..

I would say 21, but when a parent of girl, she is always your girl and not a woman if when she is a woman

Id say that it varies ~ from person to person, however, she has to behave like one too. Its not a good idea to request, to expect or to demand that you be treated like a Woman instead of something lesser, while acting like one ~ throwing tantrums and screeching and yelling threats left right n centre. Well a girl becomes a woman when she gives birth, and brings a new life into the world,or it may be when she desides to wear a suit and stilletoes to the office,or when she turns 40......um and theres more, we are unique individuals you know....but i remember most when i was growing up that when you had your first period,you became a woman....."Only women bleed"........Alex Cooper.....

I think it is the same for both when they reach the age of majority- and for most that is 18. I am offended when women are called girls. I called a guy on it the other day. He was referring to the women in his office as girls- ie the girls will get that done. The youngest woman in his office was 43. They are not girls. To me he was saying because they were girls he could demean their work.
