Im not really talking about employment and such. When it comes to love and seeking a partner, more women seem to be acting like the shallow men whom they criticise. You may reject this idea, but you know its true, with all the post modern materialism seeping to our brains regardless of gender. Feminists and women cry out the plastic culture of America but men suffer the problem as well. I agree - I think the main priority for a lot of folks is about appearance, theirs and those theyll hang with. On one level though, women have almost always had to meet artificial standards to be considered worthy of a males attention but now the women have raised the bar so to speak and not content with just any guy wholl pay attention to her. Those days are long gone.

Well yeah, its hypocritical. But the truth is anyone whos average or plain looking with a great personality will quickly find a boyfriend or girlfriend if they choose. These men you speak of are probably ugly as well as boring. This also includes women who are ugly and boring. To be truly sought after, you have to be interesting and attractive.

It seems impossible, but I have been advising on choosing men that are some one you can depend on instead of wealth and money. Yes, things have changed a little in that department, but blame cosmetic companies and those whom profit from it financially. I wont be too concerned, until they start using very average looking women presenting the news, next to their (often) unattractive male co-host. Or when women artists appear on music/video shows every weekend who dont look like super models. Ever seen an unattractive young woman on these shows? No. Ever seen unattractive men on these shows? Yes. When men have to compete in the "looks" department with women for work in the media/entertainment industry, instead of experience and skills, I might begin to feel a little more empathy.

I dont care about looks or personality I just want this one guy. He has neither, but I want him. Yes I am aware I am objectifying him. I think women are becoming more shallow in America today because now they have the choice to be. He does not even have cash or social standing. I just fell in love.
