Do you think they should get their kids back? What do you think about raising kids in that kind of environment? Is it a moral way to raise kids considering your own moral ideas?? Thats a difficult question due to the right to practise religion. If one can prove child abuse then no they should not have their children back. If abuse cannot be proven definitively... then there isnt much the law can do to stop them. Personally though I think that having more than one wife would be horrible! I get nagged enough with just one girlfriend... I cant imagine that much nagging... My head hurts now.

Nothing wrong with having 200 wives if all 200 of them are over the age of 18, and are OK with being one of 200. What they did has little to do with Polygamy, and more to do with sexual and physical abuse and rape of minor children. Calling a 13 year old your wife, does not make it OK to force her to have sex with you and to impregnate her. The MOTHERS of these abused children are as guilty for allowing it to happen. The children SHOULD have been taken away, and they should be relocated in loving secure homes.

POlygamy means legally theyre married... blah, blah, blah... That said, I used to think it makes sense, because womens (well, mine and some friends) sex drives are lower, and sister-wives, and all that crap. HA HA HA. WRONG. You can tell because who in the hell else would leave their children the way that some of them did, and go back home, rather than go to a shelter? Heres the sad thing- when they the authorities removed the teenaged boys, you kind of got the idea that the boys were treated as abusers. Well, they might be, and they might not be. They are still kids, not 55 year old men raping young girls. They might be in love with some of the girls forced into such affairs! And so, it makes you realize that after all fo this time, even the evil perpetrators of this disaster were once these young innocent boys... and even the most evil of all of them are brainwashed, are sick, and never, or barely, ever had a choice! So, NO, dont ever give these kids back. End the religion, end the compound, destroy it all, and NOW! But do so with an eye towards compassion, because these people were ALL brainwashed since birth.

People have a right to live as they want, if it is legal. But, it is morally wrong, and illegal to take more than one bride. And I feel as though those men are getting away with molesting children. If they truly thought that more wives were good, then they would marry women, not children. And, no, the children should not be returned until the mothers are de-briefed. There is nothing wrong with poligamy when practiced between consenting adults. Sapphira, you talk as though youre psychic. Are you able to see the future? There have been no indictments nor have there even been any charges. There is only a CLAIM of abuse reported by someone at a domestic violence hotline that says a 16 year old girl called in. How many people are aware that these groups commit welfare fraud? The women pose as single mothers since their marriages arent legally recognized and then apply for benefits. The checks are turned over to their leaders and they use them to support their own lavish lifestyles. The women see very little of that money.
