Gender Studies : What Is The Difference Between Being Beautiful And Being Sexy

Inspired by the answers to my previous question about whether pregnant women were sexy, where many of you stated that they were not so sexy, but definitely beautiful. But what is beautiful - is it based on attraction, or something else? Can you be beautiful if youre not sexy, or sexy if youre not beautiful? I think sexiness always requires a bit of naughtiness, playfulness, cheekiness, flirty manipulation. Beauty can be innocent but sexiness is always a bit naughty! You can be beautiful and sexy at the same time like Bridget Bardot in the 60s.

Being sexy is being attractive enough where someone wants to sleep with you. You can still be ugly and be sexy. Being beautiful is having several good qualities that are priceless and sincere. Being a genuine, decent, honest person is beautiful. Being a trendy, uberfriendly, charming, and seductive person is sexy. It may appear beautiful in the beginning, but the attraction wears off and the deception will eventually surface.

Beautiful means appealing to the eye. Sexy means stirring my loins and arousing a desire for coitus. Ive never been aroused by a pregnant woman, quite possibly because she is carrying another mans child and so she should be automatically off limits. Men can be turned off sexually by certain mannerisms; a high pitch or deep voice, or personality traits we deem undesirable, religiosity,etc. etc. This is the case no matter how good a woman looks. On the other hand we can find women sexy even if she isnt a visual piece of perfection. Every man has his turn ons. It may be her walk, confidence, political beliefs, spirituality, wit/intelligence, ambition or matronly attributes.

You can be any, a combination or all of the above. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What one person may consider beauty, another may not. As the saying goes "one mans meat is another mans poison", which of course, applies to both genders. Its impossible to generalise here. The words love, lust, like, admire, want, envy, need, fancy, all apply to different attributes and personal perception. You must surely be aware of that yourself and in what you know that you and your friends and colleagues think about different people.

Ill give my honest opinion. Hot/Sexy: Any girl who gives me a b0ner, usually because of nice t|ts, a$$, or just because of a sexy and seductive personality. They is a huge difference between being sexy and being beautiful. Being sexy is having the ability to draw someone toward you using your sex appeal or charm. Beauty can be appreciated in the abstract, without necessarily being sexy. I can appreciate a beautiful woman without finding her sexy for example. For that matter, I can think a man is good looking without finding him sexy. Sex appeal is somethign else again. It is a mystery.
