I never learned about any kind of marriage when I was in school. But I dont understand why anyone thinks that teaching children that, yes, its possible for two men or two women to get married has anything to do with sex. Do we teach about heterosexual sex when children read about traditional marriages? Does the teacher pause the lesson whenever a story talks about Mr. and Mrs. Smith to ask the children what they know about fellatio?

Gay Marriage be taught? Does that mean equal time for traditional marriage? And what is this question about MAKING boys to dance with boys? What do you mean by "young" children? Did you give serious thought to your question before you asked it? It shouldnt be taught at all, school is for education - reading history math, not social/political doctrination.

they represent a percentage that is less than .1% and so I would highly recommend you not teach anything like that issue to the children. When children begin having sexual feeling, the issue is delt with in Sex Ed Classes. Then you tell them what the story is.

~It shouldnt be an issue at all. Of course, thanks to those folks who claim to have the direct line with God (the same God they claim that loves all of us), it seems their God thinks its a no-no. Im going to guess that if there is a God, he/she would be more concerned with the evilness of humans against each other than the humanness of two people who love each other and want to commit to each other. Besides, if God loves us all and justice is his main deal, how come I have to pay taxes and businesses have to pay taxes but those folks who get out there and preach and beg (or scam) for money in his name, get to be tax-exempt? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I think it should at least be addressed in health classes. Its part of the mental health of homosexual students that they shouldnt feel like an outcast.

That is exactly why I am against gay marriage. I would be furious if my kids were taught that gay marriage is normal and accepted. You are right though, when we start accepting gay marriage, we then begin having to accept all sorts of new rules. We would also begin teaching that polygamy is a correct form of marriage, right? We couldnt discriminate against anyones marriage rights. Oh wait, thats right, its only about gays rights. They are the only ones that matter in this country.
