I forgot to write down my return add and the stamp isnt too stable on the letter sent it on last sunday night..and till yesterday my friend didnt receive it anyone?can i call the post office and ask about it? ~~~ jaefan91 ~~~

1. As the letter is without return address it is "souspicious" and will undergo special inspection. (takes a few days) 2. It will be delivered to the address " on charges collect basis". (the addressee will be informed to pay for the stamps X2-3 before handing him out the letter). 3. you might try to get in touch with the mail distribution center of your city/district. maybe they have a "Lost and found".

I got this first hand from the post office about a year ago. I had wrote out some bills and I always go to the water company and electric company to pay the bills myself rather then mail them out. I figured with the price of stamps that since the companies are close by I may as well take them myself and save my stamps for better use. Well I had at least one bill I had to mail because of it being a payment out of state. I go to the post office and drop off the bill. Well a month later I find out that my water bill wasnt paid and couldnt figure why. Well I realized that I had accidentally dropped it in the post office box when I mailed my one bill out. So asked the postal personal what I could do. I was told that all mail that their not sure what to do with gos to the main office for that area and then gos to a room that is full of mail that just sits there till someone can go through it and figure where it gos. Then after so long it will be destroy. Nothing you can do if that happens. Once it gos out it becomes the property of the postal service. I was lucky though. I was able to cancel my check since it hadnt been cashed. Stupid on my part. Now I watch really careful about what I put in the boxes.
