OPEC was started by the Venezuelan oil minister, not saudi arabia. Saudi was the second country to join. Venezeula had nationalized its oil industry and kicked al foriegers out of the country as part of a political take over of the country. The basic info about OBD II (and OBD I) is true, but all the crap about 100mpg carburators is all science fiction. Gas mileage is all dependant on weight and acceleration. There are no tricks, no electric cars, no HHO gimmicks that change the laws of thermodynamics. Electric cars go farther because they weight less and cannot carry 3000 pounds of payload.
