The best thing to do is watch performers you admire. I used to watch my teachers movements and facial expressions. I wasnt afraid to copy them shamelessly at first, then alter things a little so I felt more comfortable. I now have a very sassy style and my teacher is more laid back, but when we play together, you can tell shes my teacher.

thing with me is im realllllllllllllllly good sittin down. i can solo really fast and all that. but standing up, i can barely play a power chord. if i started playing up and never sat down to play again, does that mean it will be just like learning to play tha guitar again? like starting from scratch and it take just as long?it really frustrates me cause thats why i aint gotta band
