In the application process I am aware that criminal convictions could stop you becoming a PCSO . However what kinda crimainal convictions or criminal records will or wont affect the application . For example I have seval spent convictions (relatively minor) . Would I be considered with a strong application ? ~~~ Joe H ~~~

I dont think you have a strong application if you have convictions. Would you be automatically rejected? No but it is highly likely that your application would be rejected.

Convictions of any number above 0 and for whatever reasons will be considered and will effect the results.

As a PCSO candidate you will be assessed in very much the same way as a police officer. Like any position of trust you must be in a position to show that you are of good character. Any past offences will be taken into consideration and will certainly cause rejection if they show bad character such as Theft, Fraud or assault no matter how minor or how long ago. PCSOs work within the community and regularly come into contact with very vulnerable people, the police will not take a chance when considering applications just because you say your a reformed character. A couple of minor traffic misdemeanours shouldnt hinder your application tho. Good luck with your application.
