Law Enforcement Police : Why Is It Okay For Police Officers To Blatantly Abuse Their Power And Civilians
Take Pittsburgh G20 as a very recent example. Why is it okay for the police officers to throw tear gas and shoot the students? They didnt do anything wrong. I might be naive, but I dont know why they can just do this without the entire country going insane with rage and setting cars on fire and beating up every cop they see. But there has to be a reason, if not, the question is, why isnt there? ~~~ Paste ~~~

I havent seen much about that in the news, but the police may have been over-zealous in suppressing the demonstrators. I wonder how that played on TV in Iran. I am glad that the country did not go insane with widespread riots.

It isnt and they arent. If a riot is out of control then tear gas and rubber bullets are fine, its a means of control. Once the police lose control of the situation... thats when people get really hurt.

Look around. Who has guns? Bob the shop owner? Your neighbor Mrs. Smith? Those high school kids at the corner? No. The police do. Whether its legal or not, you cant argue with officers of the law with firearms. Or anybody with a firearm, for that matter. Police arent the only people allowed to have guns. Among others, armed bodyguards (people who protect politicians) can carry any concealed firearm they want, anywhere in the country, which even police cant do.
