I dont see any clue that the old thermocouple can be replaced. I know that the thermocouple is not welded. ~~~ Boying ~~~

Usually thermocouples arent that hard to replace..it has to sit close to the pilot light..I have replaced them on a hot water heater..amp; it slipped out of the bracket..They generally are quite universal.

Easy-get a replacement unit and then replace the thermocouple. Knowing how the looks and is placed makes it easy to replace.

Are you sure that your furnace has a standing pilot? I dont mean to be rude - but if youre not sure about even replacing a thermocouple - do you really think its good idea to tinker with the furnace. Ive attached the link to the Rheem residential furnace page. Best of luck Try not to blow up
