Depends on the brand of cooktop, most european brands are designed to be converted. The gas injectors have to be changed and the gas taps need to be adjusted so that they turn down to low flame, it will also need an appliance regulator fitted to control the flow of gas to the burners ( LP regulators are fitted to the cylinders NG regulators are fitted to the appliance). So to answer your question re; cost, it depends on whether you need to replace the gas taps or if they are adjustable, If adjustable, a few dollars in parts and maybe 1 hour labour , gas taps can be expensive and not worth considering converting.

Do you have natural gas coming into your house? If so, any plumber could do it. If not, you need to call the gas company and find out if they can run a line to your home; if yes, ask how much. Not all places have natural gas available.
