If you are talking about mailing a letter to a military member in Iraq or Afganistan or somewhere like that with an APO or FPO address, It will cost the same to mail a letter to Iraq as it would anywhere else in the USA. 41 cents. And you can mail it from your home or post office, which ever is easier for you. It would need more than one stamp if you are a very long writer, lol. But I have yet to put 2 stamps on any card or letter mailed to my husband in Iraq. The USPS would be the cheapest way to go to mail a package however. Here is the United States Postal Service site and they have restrictions and such. /supportingourtroops/ The . Postal Service introduced a Military Care Kit, or "Mili-kit" for military families and friends to send care packages to their loved ones stationed overseas. Each kit contains two Priority Mail boxes, six Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, eight Priority Mail labels, one roll of Priority Mail tape and eight customs forms with kit may be ordered by calling the USPS Expedited Package Supply Center at 1-800-610-8734.
