Im sick of that huge lower crossmember getting in the way of my 3" downpipe and charge piping, plus Im always burning rubber and getting really bad torque steer. Will the traction bar help out with all of this? I have plans to get the Full Race bar for my 92 Teg, but I wanted to make sure it would be worth it. Traction bars are just what they sound like. The purpose is to force the rear axel down and control its hop on rough acceleration. The higher the horsepower, the better they work. Also, they help keep the body level. Most hot-rodders swear by them. Cheap modification and the car is more stable in punch-outs.

Traction bars keep the rear end from bouncing up on acceleration and are generally unnecessary with leaf springs. Your torque steering issue might be with the front raising to high. Try racing shocks or struts in the front.
