Other Education : What Sort Of Career Is Good For The Following Interests

I am good at and enjoy foreign languages (I am able to speak three, English, German and Chinese). I perform well in English and History, but not as well in the sciences and maths. ~~~ Mitch ~~~

it seems like you would be a really good translator or foreign language teacher....also i know my aunt is a missonary and says once she was in a country (i think in south america or africa) and she was in a school and the principal found out she spoke good english and offered her a job on the spot teaching english so if you are willing to travel to china or germany or somewhere....maybe that would be a good job! :) hope this helps....and good luck on your job search! :)

Not sure what to tell you, but I can tell you where to look. and there is also a book out called "What Color Is Your Parachute" It is designed to help you figure out what type of occupations you are suited for. There is a test in there too that helps determine where you would be happy. Good luck!

Dont know if computer programming interests you - my husband works as a software architect. Believe it or not, many of his colleagues have a linguistics background. My husband himself is very interested in words and languages. He is Chinese, he speaks Mandarin, his hometown dialect, and English, understands Japanese, and speaks some Spanish also. Sounds like youd be a good foreign correspondent for a news service. You know a European and Asian language in addition to English, you like to write and you would enjoy learning the history of the country youre reporting on/from.

You could be a translator for politicians or athletes at the Olympics work for major TV network doing research for news programs also a translator at a publishing house for books a teacher for history, English or a language teacher on a high school or college level
