Other Home Garden : How Can I Find Out When The Night Rate Starts For My Electricity Meter

Ive looked on the Powergen website but I cant seem to find the answer. Someone has suggested to me that it is different depending on which area of the UK you live in, I live in Cambridgeshire Many thanks ~~~ lucyt20 ~~~

If you have white meter heating with a normal electricity board time clock then it will be 11pm till 7am in the winter and 12 o clock till 8am in the summer, if you have white meter heating with a black box the same size as your meter with no visible clock then this would be a radio controlled timer which gets a signal at various times which is sent out through radio 3 airwaves and picked up by a little airial inside the unit and will give you 7 hours low rate anytime between 7pm and 7am but not all at once.

there is no long a general night rate except with an old tariff called economy 7 then you can us you washing machine at night, and night storage heaters ect.
