I normally play saxophone, but I have gotten bored over these holidays and am trying to learn recorder anyone have any idea how to play sharps on them? I am just using some music I have on saxophone and I can already play stairway to heaven on recorder. also any idea how to play low notes and high notes.. eg. high g, and low g.......this other weird little variation to saxophone. Maybe high notes dont come out properly and i need to get one of those big recorders.... ~~~ Keyan ~~~

Try just covering only half of the hole and hear the difference in the notes you get. The lowest note you can can on a descant recorder is middle C, if you want to play lower notes try a treble recorder
