I mean, Im visiting and all I see is how they tear each other apart constantly. The finance hoopla seems so minor to me. Its like the BBC and Sky wont let up until these MPs commit suicide because they are so embarrassed. Their poor kids must be ruined at their schools. Politicians the world over are basically the same nefarious breed. I dont know which country your from but certainly most European countries have the same rotten immoral politicians, some much worse. I wont mention the US as their politicos are well known for their restraint ! As Mark Twain is reputed to have said,"Public Office is private graft". We are only loud because most of us naively believed the bulk of our politicians were reasonably honest. Werent we mugs ?

Because it is a BIG DEAL! Our Honourable MPs (said with much sarcasm) have been caught with "their hands firmly in the till". They have claimed for items that were :- Luxuries (Chandaliers, Moat Cleaning, Massage Chairs, Jacuzzis, Home Cinema Systems) to name but a few Non-existent mortgages £000s for Taxis and Chauffeur Driven Cars to take their wives on shopping trips Bogus Business Trips - these were in fact holdiays in places such as the Carribean, Maldives, etc. Interior Decorating, Works of Art and Antiques Installation of top of the range bathrooms, kitchens and home furnishings Some of them have claimed for their 2nd homes to undergo complete refits (under the expenses system) then have sold the property weeks or a few months later - making an absolute fortune. Assigning another property as their 2nd home and then claiming £000s yet again on the new property. Some have avoided paying Capital Gains Tax Claims for Wives/Partners clothes and personal items have been made Some have paid members of their family £000s to work in their "offices". It has since come to light that a lot of these "jobs" were bogus and did not exist - so where did the money go? Many have claimed for 2nd homes when their Constituency Homes were only a few miles away and could be reached door-to-door from the HoC in an hour max and in many cases we are talking minutes. They have spent £000s of taxpayers money trying to hide their greed. fraudulent behaviour and thievery. The list does not end there, this will give you some idea of what has been uncovered - seriously it is endless and would take all day! In some cases - absolute fraud has taken place - anyone else would be facing prosecution. Many have claimed for items that are not "essential" in allowing them to carry out their duties. They have completely destroyed the publics trust in them, brought our Parliamentary system into complete disgrace and have squandered £millions. These are the people who are supposed to be running our economy and country and have been shown to be a "nest of vipers"! To us - its huge and it will take a VERY long time for any trust to be returned to our MPs!!
