If the last General Election had been based on number of votes, instead of parliamentary seats, they wouldnt be in power now. It doesnt look too good for Labour. If they can think up a new Big Lie they may be back sooner than that. The recession isnt going to last forever, and when things improve they will want to take the credit somehow.

What Labour needs is a spell out of government. 3 terms is too many for any colour of politician. The next Parliament will probably be hung and end up with a Lib/Lab pact. Id actually prefer a short Tory government.
