Philosophy : How Can I Learn To Differentiate Better Between Taking Things One Day At A Time And Looking Ahead
Like to tell between cross the bridge when you come to it and be prepared for the future. I really hope you understand what I mean. Thank you very much. ~~~ Benji ~~~
Best Answer To Philosophy Question
Once youve looked ahead and prepared for the future, you can relax, stop worrying about the future and just concentrate on the present. The plans for the future might change, but its often useful to have some kind of plan to start with...as they say, "failing to plan is planning to fail". Whatever you are doing in the present is special in its own right so you focus on it entirely, but its also good to have that faith that its part of something greater.

Answer 2
Prepare for the future bridge. Then when you come upon it, you have already crossed it.
Answer 3
Looking ahead and being prepared for the future are things that you can have a tentative plan for. For example you can have medical insurance in case you get sick or are in an accident. That is a "plan" to be prepared for the future and shows you are looking ahead. Now lets say that in your family there is a strong incidence of high blood pressure but you dont have it right now. If you do get it you will have to take steps to control it etc. so you will "cross that bridge when you come to it" and deal with it "one day at a time to get it under control" but you have the insurance in place to take care of medical costs and get the care you will need when you need it.
