Yes, for an important decision, it would be wise to ask God for guidance. Even more important is to LISTEN for His advice.

Actually I make the decision first and ask for His confirmation later! Relieves HIm of extra work load. I think this is how He wants us to behave! To weigh our options in the light of deciding factors and choose wisely (well, if we can). Pass the file (through prayers) for final endorsement by the Lord Almighty!!!

Omniscience trumps all deciding factors. I aim to ask continually so my thoughts become His thoughts. Benevolent parents begrudge their children nothing when it is in their best interest. Kisshoma...Maybe when you exercise thumbs down it attracts trolls.

Perhaps it is wiser to seek ones answers from within ones self rather than from a supreme being portrayed in the one of the many and various "reward/punishment" faith systems created by various individuals throughout history. Which of the various human made pantheons of the gods would one accept as more likely to exist than any of the others from all of the various mythologies? Why would one be more likely to exist than the others? Reason and careful consideration might prove more effective and a wiser course of action than calling upon such a god who, by reason based upon experience and observation, can be shown to not be as any have yet been represented in the supposed revelations from the same.
