I dont think youre going to find any fool-proof ways, but temptation isnt always a bad thing. It lets you know when your body not only wants, but needs something. Be careful with what you attempt to discontinue temptation, as stopping silly things like fluid consumption is obviously not good. Try meditation; not fool-proof, but calms many overactive desires.
