I am not sure which state you are in, but I would describe it as a school readiness class. In my experiences in schools, preschools and child care centres in Sydney and Adelaide transition to school classes are where the children specifically spend time going to the school and into the classrooms with the teachers that they could possibly be having once they do start school the following year/term. In Adelaide prep classes are considered to be a childs first year of formal schooling (also called Reception) and in Sydney this would be the equivalent to Kindergarten. I like the sound of the concept of your business and the fact that you address the two areas which seem to be issues for students as their education increases.... maths and literacy. But you are still catering to the essential learning needs of the preschoolers through their self-esteem, social skills and fine motor. Too many forget that a child can be as "clever" as anything but if they dont have the social skills and confidence this can ultimately affect their academic capabilities. Good Luck!
