Rodents : What Can I Give A Dwarf Hamster To Relieve Pain
She is almost at the end of her life span, but seems to be full of energy / vim and vigor (so I dont think it would be right to put her down). She has had a stroke, and seems to be in some pain; shaking when she is touched. Is there any safe pain reliever for dwarf hamsters? ~~~ chelle_blue_butterfly ~~~

I wouldnt give anything that was not vet prescribed. Their bodies are very small and you could overdose your hamster very easily. Vets do have pain killers for hamster, and they will give you something safe and in the proper dosage.
Answer 3
the best thing to do would be to ask a vetrinarian...(of course) but i get the feeling you dont want to do that. when i was a teenager I volunteered at a vets office and they talked about giving dogs and cats small doses of childrens motrin to help with pain. for a hamster that dose would have to be very small less than a teaspoon im sure. Good luck with your hamster and i hope it is doing well
