We have been in touch again for about 3 years and we both think not staying together was a mistake in many ways. We have both said we would run away together in the blink of an eye, but the tyranny of distance is holding us back. We both have family responsibilities to think about, both single and I've always loved her, and I think the feeling is mutual. Maybe it is a good time for a new start in love and life? That's so cool - 25 years apart and you still have feelings for each other! I think you should carry on taking it slow - try visiting each other for weekends, long weekends and eventually longer. Get to know each other as people and as a freinds before embarking on anything more serious. Good luck!!

Answer 5whatever this is worth... I met up with my 1st girlfriend after 20 years. She moved 1200 miles away due to her fathers job and we had to break up 'cuz of that. I never really got over her and thought about her alot... even know later I was married to my wife. My travelling job allowed me to see her a few years ago. Wow, was I happy we did not get married! Whatever feelings I had for her were definately no longer there. She gained alot of weight, seemed self-centered, her pretty blonde hair was stringy, etc. I came home from that trip with a new found appreciation for my wife.
