Seriously, it's so petty and pathetic the way certain control freaks in the office attempt to manipulate peoples time and emotions. Why can't they back off at work to allow us to start dating in peace ! Whats in it for them to try to interfere, I know they do it on purpose because their just to selfish to believe a relationship could exist outside of their own experience and control ! If you can date at school, why not at work ? Why wont meddling fools back off and show enough respect to stay out of something that has nothing to do with them, before they ruin our affections by their unwarranted and unwanted interference and attention ! Answer 1because its at work and its public, you are going to have those things - just like in school you had ppl commenting about it oh and most of the time people know that when theres a couple at work the are more than likely gonna slack off and the other ppl are going to have to pick up their load
Answer 2I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and we started dating at work. People were all in our business as well, but we pretty much just didn't give them any information. If someone asked us about one other, we would just down play our relationship, and respond.. like "Oh that's just my friend"... Once we really started going out to lunch everyday, and coming and leaving work together everyday... and we would still give people those same dumb responses.. they got the message and left us alone. People only do to you what you let them, so if you let them get to you and interfere with your relationship, it's because you guys LET THEM. Don't worry about them, just concentrate on what you guys have together, if the relationship is worth it.
Answer 3Well it all depends on their motives for interfering. If its the boss and the company has a policy about it, he/she has every right to. Most people don't like to see it happen because 99% of people can't keep their relationship out of the office, if your fighting at home your fighting at work. Then co-workers start chosing sides and suddenly life sucks at the office.
Answer 4The interfere because they want to make sure that there isn't going to be big problem if you two ever break up. Although, they do need to let you guys alone and let you do your thing. As long as you aren't slacking at work, then your personal lives should be personal.

Answer 6i agree 100%... i started dating a guy at work and the whole company was gossiping bout it and that irritates the crap out of me. people can never mind their own business and always have to stick their noses in somebody Else's... i got a habit of telling him i needed something or needed his help and then will close the door behind him but leave the blinds open or tell him that we should go for lunch... than you c people start talking dint let them get to you cause they just jealous.... that is usually the case.

If either of you is a supervisor, Then dating a employee is taboo in 95% of the places out there. If there are no rules against it, Then date to your hearts content..If there are rules against it. One or both of you may lose your job over it. And then you'll have a new problem,Unemployment!!! I wish you well..
