In the Philippine sociological context, pointing to someone face to face means expression of anger as if saying "You dont want to mess with me!" or "Watch who youre dealing with!" On the other hand, the one being pointed at gets back by saying "Dont you dare point your finger at me!" Simply put, pointing your forefinger on someones face is very offending to a person who is being pointed at.
