Adolescent. How Can I Convince My Parents To Let Me Start Getting My Ls?
Adolescent : How Can I Convince My Parents To Let Me Start Getting My Ls
Ive turned 16 last year and I had many plans to get started but they dont allow me to. A lot of my classmates have completed it and I feel left out. What can I tell them that can hopefully change their mind? They keep telling me I dont need to start yet because Im still studying but I want to start early! Correct me if Im wrong but in Australia, you need to do it through a qualified trainer and not through anyone who can drive. ~~~ Dan ~~~

Maybe your parents are finding it hard that you are growing older. Ring the RTA / VIC roads and ask them how much it is to get you Ls Ask them what you need to get them also, birth extract, photo id, key card etc. Get the road rules book from the RTA which is free from memory, and study the book, also take notice of how you parents drive around the street. When it is time, go into the RTA by yourself and sit the test. Keep going to you pass. You may find that you parents will notice that you have got some go in you to do this, and will share some real responsibility.

Im pretty sure you dont need parental consent once you turn 16. Just grab photo ID and birth certificate along with cash and go to the RTA. If all else fails just tell them how you feel.

Well maybe you could. Get good grades in school, work around the house, dont do anything bad. After all that you could ask your parents. Cause they would think that you have been very helpful and think you are responsible enough to get your Ls. Hope it helpsa˜º
Answer 6
Just keep convincing them that youre responsible. Hope it works. Im in WA and you are allowed to drive with anyone who has been driving for more than 4 years. But I dont know if thats the whole country, Id check with dpi first. Good luck.
