Toddler Preschooler : How Do I Keep Child Out Of Fridge When Child Lock Doesnt Work
Ok. My son is almost 3. He can open any lock. He sneaks in kitchen and opens the refrigerator and turns it off. I have a child lock on fridge but he can open it easier than I can. Are there any other options (refrigerator dial lock, perhaps) out there to prevent him from turning the dial to turn the fridge off? Best Answer To Toddler Preschooler Question
He needs to learn that he can't go into the fridge without asking permission... have you tried talking to him? tell him that he can't go in the fridge. If he's smart enough to unlock a lock then he's smart enough to understand he's not aloud to go into the fridge... find out why he's doing it? explain to him what the fridge is for and that if he turns it off all the time then his food will be yucky and he doesn't want to eat yucky food... or it needs to be on so his drinks are nice and cold... just talk to him... and find out what he can relate to.
