Right, endless probs with Wireless and PS3, you have managed to get them in sync which is more than alot of people manage. I tried EVERYTHING but the PS3 will not connect wirelessly, now using a cable and its perfect. so i would say save yourself the hassle and get a long cable!!!!!

dont listen to him ps3s are much better ive got both anyway my internet extender (as the router is at the other end of the house and wont reach the ps3) is about 5 metres from my ps3 and ive got quite good internet connection its around 80-100% and on cod for example its normally 3-4 bars of signal strength

putting it closer can help, but if your really getting a 1% connection, there is probably a more serious problem wrong with your router. that can be any number of things. i cant ask you any questions in this answer so i have to tell you to investigate it.
Answer 7
I would say get a better router or modem. Also get a higher band width. You should try getting a local area connection (wired) that makes it go fast.
Answer 8
dont mind the person before me...i personally think that the p32 and 360 are the same... well, i have a wii (and a wii only) and i also have a router upstairs and a console downstairs. although the connection is laggy and sometimes breaks, it works. i would suggest moving your router closer to the stairs leading to your basement or even moving the router downstairs. but the best possible solution would be to move your ps3 upstairs, if possible.
